Calico Tea MeditationThe water has been poured over the tea, but the empty cups must wait until the time is right. A lovely calico cat drifts off to sleep while the tea steeps. Steam rises from the pottery tea pot. The clay tea pot and cups have a leaf motif. On another table, branches of cherry blossoms arc gracefully from a black vase. Sunrise in Moon WindowIn the moon window of a teahouse, a black and white cat sleeps contentedly as the sun rises. Steam is rising from the blue tetsubin (Japanese cast iron teapot). If you look closely, you can just make out koi swimming on the teapot. Two yunomi (teacups) in sand and sea colors have been laid out, which match the tea caddy on the window sill. Behind the stone path is the garden where a blossoming magnolia tree greets the new day. A branch has been brought in and rests in a burgundy bowl to complete the tea. The Midnight DrearyA haunted house stands on a bluff overlooking the sea, a black cat in the window.
