Ash, a lovely gray and white cat, on a rug decorated with lilacs. Ash is a historical kitty. She was rescued from the World Trade Center. Rescue workers heard kittens crying and dug them out of the rubble. She and her sister and brother did not even have their eyes open yet. The inspiration for this piece comes from photos by Anita Kemmy on www.missroo.org (used with permission). Anita's family adopted the kittens. This piece is on a gallery-wrapped canvas (the sides are finished off in lavender acrylic) and has a hanger on the back—no need to frame (see the Ordering Page for more technical information). |
