The Rustling Purple Curtains

In a white empire gown, the ghost of Lenore communes with a raven. Her necklace has a key dangling from a chain with glass beads. The full moon outside the open window illuminates the ghostly landscape of distant cypress trees and drifting clouds, the night sky dotted with stars. The violet velvet drapes move slightly from a nighttime breeze. In this haunted Victorian parlor, calla lilies climb the striped wallpaper, in shades of lavender and purple. Inspired by the "The Raven" poem by Edgar Allan Poe. This Gothic fantasy landscape is part of the Dreamscapes series, which combines my original paintings with digital enhancements. The grunge scratches and imperfections give the piece a weathered, Victorian Gothic feel. The copyright watermarks on the image do not appear on the actual print.

Handmade Pendant

A black ribbon necklace is included so the piece is ready to wear. These have an extender chain that adjusts from approximately 18" - 21", closing with a lobster claw clasp. If you would like a longer length, an adjustable knotted cord may be substituted for no additional charge that will fit most sizes, typically 22" - 26" (these are adjusted by sliding the knots and don't have a metal clasp--a great unisex option).

1 3/8" x 1 5/8" or 30mm x 40mm (not including the bail, which is the piece that fits over the cord)

Material:

Archival print topped with a glass cabochon. For the setting, bright silver plated onto lead-free base metal.
