The song "Try to Remember" kept playing in my head as I painted this piece. A mature woman in a flowered dress sits beneath a tree in a field of wildflowers. A little squirrel sits in the branches of the tree, over a flowing river. This wistful landscape is an original acrylic painting on a stretched canvas (the staple-free sides are painted). It has been varnished to protect the paint and preserve the lustrous colors.
