Artist Bio

I have been painting most of my life. Being out in nature is an important part of my work and my goal is to show the spirit of nature, the life I feel around me as I tramp through the woods, or walk along the ocean.

My home is in the small town of Corvallis, Oregon. I paint in a little studio, set among mystical white oak trees. My studio overlooks a nature area where deer, squirrels, many birds, skunks and opossums can be seen. I’ve heard an owl out there but haven’t seen it yet. Even saw a bat once at dusk!

Zen meditation has greatly influenced my style and subjects. The simple sun or moon so often in my paintings originated from the empty circle in zen.

I am a second-generation artist. My father, Walter Sears Milnor (1936-2001), concentrated on painting large canvases of the California missions.

I have been selling online since 2002 and have an excellent track record for customer service. Don’t hesitate to contact me with any questions you may have.
