Deep in the woods, a barred owl gazes down from a white pine tree over a small autumn pond and mushrooms. The unseen moon illuminates. I have barred owls in the woodland behind my house. I hear them sometimes, just before it gets light in the morning. This contemporary Pacific Northwest landscape is an original acrylic painting on a stretched canvas (the staple-free sides are painted). It has been varnished to protect the paint and preserve the lustrous colors.
This painting will hang just fine on a nail (or may be framed). Additional hanging hardware is not included (local art or framing stores can usually be found to add this at a nominal cost, if wanted).
