Yodama (tree spirits) glide through the illuminated forest. Red butterflies flutter in front of the one in the red gown. A little blue fox spirit comes to look at the red-capped mushrooms. A contemporary fantasy landscape of yokai (nature spirits). I spend a lot of time in the woods and nature areas in the Pacific Northwest. This is an original acrylic painting on a stretched canvas (the staple-free sides are painted). It has been varnished to protect the paint and preserve the lustrous colors.
This painting will hang just fine on a nail. Hanging hardware is not included (local art or framing stores can usually be found to add this at a nominal cost).
