A little Douglas squirrel sits on a pine tree branch in a magical autumn woodland. Mushrooms sprout among the colorful fall foliage, morning sunlight rays beaming through the trees. This Oregon landscape was taken from one of my favorite walks in Marys River Natural Area in Corvallis. It is an original acrylic painting on a stretched canvas (the staple-free sides are painted). It has been varnished to protect the paint and preserve the lustrous colors.
