A sailboat glides through the ocean, past bluffs with scraggly trees. Metallic gold and copper form dramatic clouds as waves roll in. This Pacific Northwest seascape is an original acrylic painting on a stretched canvas (the staple-free sides are painted). It has been varnished to protect the paint and preserve the lustrous colors.
If you would like hanging wire added to the back of the canvas, please let me know in the notes to seller when you check out. Or, email me right after.
As I was pouring this painting, the little boat sort of appeared, which I then brought out the next day. It reminded me of the Rumi poem with the line, "Just to be held by the sea is the greatest luck we could have known."
