A pilgrim rests for a moment beneath a golden gingko tree, next to a lit stone lantern.  He plays a flute, contemplating his journey through the torii up to the welcoming temple. Birds fly over the cascading blue waterfall. This meditation landscape is an original acrylic painting on a stretched canvas (the staple-free sides are painted). It has been varnished to protect the paint and preserve the lustrous colors.
