The full moon shines through a break in the clouds as the sun sets over a field of daisies in the Pacific Northwest. The clouds swirl in sunset colors of yellow, pink and purple. This scene is from a walk at Beazell Memorial Forest in Philomath, Oregon. Part of the Patterns series, fantasy surreal landscapes evoking the feeling of a place. This landscape is an original acrylic painting on a stretched canvas (the staple-free sides are finished off in black). It has been varnished to protect the paint and preserve the lustrous colors.
