The pond at Mary's River Natural Area is a scene I walk by often, just down the hill from my house. Mist rising in the pine trees. Geese flying through glorious sunset clouds. A dragonfly on one of the grasses in silhouette in the foreground complete this Corvallis, Oregon landscape of our precious wetlands. This is an original acrylic painting on a stretched canvas (the staple-free sides are painted). It has been varnished to protect the paint and preserve the lustrous colors.
