Cat Turtle And Water Lilies Original Painting
A Siamese cat emerges from a bank of purple irises to visit with a turtle, who is sunning himself on a rock. Koi dart among the water lilies and reflections in the pond. Twisted maple trees and bright rhododendron provide a colorful backdrop (a mushroom-shaped stone lantern is nearly hidden in the distance). A branch of cherry blossoms completes this tranquil scene. This Asian landscape, inspired by both Hakone Japanese Gardens in Saratoga, California, and Monet, is an original acrylic painting on a gallery-wrapped stretched canvas (the 3/4" staple-free sides are finished off in brown acrylic)--no need to frame. It has been lightly varnished to protect the paint and preserve the lustrous colors. Wired to hang.
