A venerable sage sits in meditation beneath a blossoming cherry tree. A waterfall cascades down green mountains into a pool. Wild blue irises on the shore. This is an original acrylic painting on a stretched canvas (the staple-free sides are painted). It has been varnished to protect the paint and preserve the lustrous colors.
I was looking for ways of enhancing this landscape pour when I saw an old monk sitting there. I made a couple alterations to his body but didn't touch the face. It's exactly as the pour left it.
This painting will hang just fine on a nail. Hanging hardware is not included (local art or framing stores can usually be found to add this at a nominal cost).
