A sunburst glows in swirling, abstract clouds. A waterfall cascades down the mountains. Through the torii, a retreat awaits with steep stairs leading up to a distant temple. Birds fly up from the temple. A pilgrim plays a flute beneath a twisted pine tree. This shinto landscape is an original acrylic painting on a stretched canvas (the staple-free sides are painted). It has been varnished to protect the paint and preserve the lustrous colors.
This painting will hang just fine on a nail. Hanging hardware is not included (local art or framing stores can usually be found to add this at a nominal cost).
