An orange sun glows in swirling, abstract clouds. A waterfall cascades down the mountains, past a torii with steep stairs leading up to a distant temple. Birds fly up from the temple. On the other side of the waterfall, a wearing pilgrim and a loyal Siamese cat rest beneath a twisted pine tree on their journey. This shinto landscape is an original acrylic painting on a stretched canvas (the staple-free sides are painted). It has been varnished to protect the paint and preserve the lustrous colors.
This painting will hang just fine on a nail. Hanging hardware is not included (local art or framing stores can usually be found to add this at a nominal cost).
