Vibrant shades of orange, yellow, and red color the sky, setting a dramatic backdrop for the silhouetted landscape below. A solitary oak tree stands out against the fiery sunset. The vernal pool reflects the explosion of colors in the sky as geese fly overhead. This is a seasonal scene from my neighborhood walk by the wetlands in Corvallis, Oregon. This contemporary landscape is an original acrylic painting on a stretched canvas (the staple-free sides are painted). It has been varnished to protect the paint and preserve the lustrous colors.
This painting will hang just fine on a nail. Hanging hardware is not included (local art or framing stores can usually be found to add this at a nominal cost).
