Every year, this vernal pool fills under white oak trees. It's always deep green. This year, the hoar frost was heavy and the contrast of the white frost and viridian water was magical. This spot is along a trail at William L Finley National Wildlife Preserve near Corvallis, Oregon. Birds winter there and you can see the geese flying in through a colorful sunset. This contemporary Pacific Northwest landscape is an original acrylic painting on a stretched canvas (the staple-free sides are painted). It has been varnished to protect the paint and preserve the lustrous colors.
This painting will hang just fine on a nail (or may be framed). Additional hanging hardware is not included (local art or framing stores can usually be found to add this at a nominal cost, if wanted).
