Horned Owl in Deep Blue Woods Original Painting
Walking along a trail through the woods, I saw a branch that looked, from a distance, like an owl was sitting on it. When I got home, I painted the owl I imagined there. This fantasy California landscape from a stroll through Rancho San Antonio Open Space Preserve is an original acrylic painting on a stretched canvas (the staple-free sides are finished off in black). It has been lightly varnished to protect the paint and preserve the lustrous colors and has been wired to hang.
