Butterflies light on lilacs and flutter in the light rays shining through the tall redwood trees. In this heavenly California landscape, I tried to include the butterflies I see on my hikes, yellow swallowtails, monarchs, painted ladies, cabbage whites, camberwell beauties, and checkerspots. An original acrylic painting on a stretched canvas (the staple-free sides are painted). It has been varnished to protect the paint and preserve the lustrous colors.
This painting will hang just fine on a nail. Hanging hardware is not included (local art or framing stores can usually be found to add this at a nominal cost).
