Fields of Shibazakura (moss phlox) beneath Mt Fuji. A toro (stone lantern) stands in the lake, which reflects the sunset. In the middle distance, a Japanese woman in a kimono of sunset colors carries a parasol the color of blue sky. She has passed through the torii gate and is entering the Azuma-ya (gazebo). Birds fly through the sunset sky. This zen landscape is an original acrylic painting on a stretched canvas (the staple-free sides are painted). It has been varnished to protect the paint and preserve the lustrous colors.
