Look closely to see the deer looking back at you in this magical forest. Morning sunlight streams through the redwood trees in this landscape from Henry Cowell Redwoods State Park in Santa Cruz, CA. This colorful, dreamlike landscape, depicting komorebi (in Japanese, the word for sunlight through the trees). is an original acrylic painting on a stretched canvas (the staple-free sides are painted). It has been varnished to protect the paint and preserve the lustrous colors.
